During these few years in EOK, I really enjoyed the challenge that the unique programs gave me. Although it was difficult to adapt to a new environment and learning style, I learnt much more rapidly and my grades improved. At first, I thought having an IGCSE exam is impossible at my age, but having lessons at EOK I noticed that actually nothing is impossible. I recall that at the beginning, I opined that studying for a whole day must be a boring experience; however, after a short period of time, having lessons here is totally a different thing!

Dr. Ma has taught me a lot of knowledge about not only math but also the attitude of learning. I also feel really satisfied of taking the exam so early with my friends and my brother. This experience has made me grow a lot!!

I came to EOK because I needed help in some of my subjects and to prepare for the IGCSE test this school year. I was not getting the help I needed from my teachers in those subjects. EOK has helped me a great deal not only by learning about the topic but especially through practicing many different kinds of problems for the subjects that I picked. This practice helps me to be prepared for the IGCSE tests. EOK is a very comfortable learning environment with friendly tutors that help you and show you many different ways to approach the problem and how to bring the other topics together as a whole idea. I consider them my friends. IGCSE is known to have test questions that are not just basic questions but questions that put many topics that are put together at once and you have a very short amount of time to answer it on the test. The tutors and Mr. Ma have helped me learn how to break down the problem and attack it in a quick amount of time. I think EOK is fun and I enjoyed coming everyday in the summer and I appreciate the help I received. It has increased my confidence in each subject and my test anxiety has decreased. I am happy to say this school year is already going great. I raise my hand first and I know all the answers in class. I know my grades will be great on my report card but I am also confident that I will do well at the end of the year on IGCSE tests. Although I am not done yet I am already thankful!

Since when I was in Year 8, I have been preparing for the IGCSE exam for Maths and English at EOK. At the start, everything at school seemed so hard to me, and sometimes I was not able to grasp the concepts. Also, I didn't have much confidence in myself because I would just achieve average grades, especially in Math. However, when I started to progress in preparing for the IGCSE exam, at EOK, I slowly realized that my attitude for facing things has changed because I was interested in what I learned and I wanted to become more knowledgeable. Soon, I started using a optimistic mindset when facing challenging questions, and told myself that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Through this process in EOK it has taught me that it is okay to fail or not be good at things. But if you know your weaknesses and keep working hard to change them, one day you will reach your goal! When the day of the exam came, I focused hard and persevered through a whole day of exams. At this point, I was still not confident that I would get good marks because I was a little intimidated by the much older people around me! When the result day came, I was not expecting much, but I was very surprised to get such good marks! I then realized that to reach your goal, you need to sacrifice much time and hard work, have a positive attitude, and most importantly, believe in yourself!

After I received the results, I was very surprised and very pleased, and cried in joy, because she has been working very hard during the exam and the preparation. EOK has made me feel more confident about my academics and I achieved stunning results in IGCSE.

I feel that if you are struggling to keep up in school, EOK is a great place to catch up. The teachers are experienced; they can identify topics that I do not know well. EOK has an excellent programme, which allows students to learn at their own pace. At school or other learning centres, all topics within a certain subject like Math get the same amount of time spent on it. But here, I can spend more time on my weak areas and improve more efficiently. I learn things before my school teaches them, so lessons at school are a lot easier to follow and understand after the comprehensive learning at EOK. The EOK teachers are fun and friendly. I see them as friends rather than strict teachers. Even though I've only been studying here for 2 months or so, EOK already feels like my second home!

Spending my past two years preparing for my English IGCSE in EOK, my view and thoughts on this exam entirely changed. At the beginning, I saw myself as a sheep in a slaughter house, I’d be dead meat in no time. There is no way I can even manage the two exam papers. I lacked in time management and organization, which are one of the keys to scoring high, and I also didn’t take things very seriously because I would always tell myself that the exam is ages away. However, with the encouragement and the wise advice from the teachers here, I have honestly made a great improvement and a further step towards a success. EOK taught me things that my school has barely even mentioned and made me great at things that my classmates don’t even know how to do. Taking my IGCSE early was just like a young business man competing with other experienced entrepreneurs who had been doing what they do for far longer than you. Indeed, the pressure was a lot but my teacher has helped me overcome my fears of failing and build on my confidence.

Before coming to EOK, I was struggling with my studies in school, particular subjects such as Additional Mathematics and Physics were my main let-downs and I constantly felt like giving up. Coming to EOK, I found a new drive towards my studies. The teachers at EOK never failed to let me down. The dedication the teachers carried towards their subjects and their passion towards teaching really made me feel like I could and can still do it. A few months later, I found myself sitting for a big examination, confident and somewhat excited, for I knew that the countless hours I spent at EOK would finally pay off. Since then, I have never found a better place to learn new things and have fun whilst doing so!

Before coming to EOK, my grades in Additional Mathematics and my Global Perspective were lower than average. It was worrying as this year would be my final year. It was so discouraging, making me lose my self-confidence. However, being part of EOK made me realize that practice makes perfect. Teachers drilled me on my weaker areas so that I learn how to overcome them in the future. Whenever I am in doubt, teachers would patiently explain from the beginning, allowing me to have a better understanding.
