學生感想：

EOK has really been a huge support and guidance across 7 years I have studied here. Prior coming to EOK, I would have much difficulty grasping and mastering concepts, no matter how hard I worked. This puzzled me as I always put all of my effort into my studies. When I started to learn at EOK, I soon realised that even though the basis of becoming more knowledgeable is to be hardworking, it is also important to study smart.

The programs here at EOK really target towards this, as every lesson I am being tested on my knowledge, allowing me to actively recall my knowledge rather than being spoon-fed. When I got a question wrong, I was guided to re-visit the question, not to know the “final answer” but to know the kind of mistake I made. This allowed me to exactly pinpoint on my areas of improvement, since I could easily find a pattern of my common mistakes. This method of learning allowed me to retain the knowledge more securely, accurately and for a much longer period of time.

One of my most memorable moments in EOK would be when I was struggling with extended mathematics in Year 10. The content being taught was hugely challenging for me, my grades started to decline and I felt unmotivated due to the amount of challenging content. My tests were always scheduled in short notice and I needed to improve in a short time span. The teachers at EOK helped me so much during this time by teaching me the concepts I was confused at, helping organise my practice time, and teaching me various exam skills. One of the important skills Dr Ma has taught me is the importance of being consistent in practising and testing. He also taught me the importance of practicing high-yield content (content that will appear most on the exams) versus low-yield content when nearing the exam date.

Through my time here at EOK, the teachers have always been very passionate, patient and attentive to any questions I had. When I was confused about a concept, they always answered my questions until I fully understood. I really appreciate this learning environment as it made me feel welcomed and that there’s no question too basic to ask.

When I decided I wanted to apply for medicine, I knew it would be a tough task. However, learning at EOK made me feel supported, and whilst I worked to do the best as I could, I also developed a greater love for learning. When my exams were cancelled, EOK motivated me to continue to work hard and showed me that it is important to learn not only for exams but to enrich myself.

Thank you so much to EOK for providing the utmost care and support throughout my 7 years here. I am so grateful for all the lessons and guidance I have been taught in my academic journey.

我在EOK上最難忘的回憶是在10年級學習數學時遇到困難。當時我需要學習大量深奧的内容，這對我來說簡直是巨大的挑戰，我的成績開始下降，並逐漸失去學習動力。而且那時學校經常有測驗，因此我只有很少時間去改進。在這段時間裡，EOK老師向我講解難以理解的概念，安排練習時間以及教曉我各種考試技巧，這些全都對我有很大幫助。馬博士讓我學會在做練習和測驗的表現都要保持一致水平，才能獲得好成績。他還教會了我在臨近考試前主攻練習考試中最常出現的內容，使我更能好好運用我剩餘的時間。

EOK老師一直都非常熱情，有耐性和細心地回答我所有的問題。當我對某個概念感到疑惑時，他們會認真回答我的問題直到我完全理解為止。我非常欣賞這種學習環境，因為我感到自己是備受老師關注，並且能毫無壓力地問一些基礎問題。

當我決定要入讀醫學時，我知道這將是一項艱鉅的任務。但是，在EOK學習讓我受到鼓舞，我盡力做到最好之餘，亦對學習產生了更多的熱愛。當我的考試被取消時，EOK激勵我繼續努力，讓我知道讀書最重要的不僅是考試，而是要充實自己。

非常感謝EOK在這七年來一直給予我很多的關心和支持，我也非常感謝學習旅途中所學的課程和得到的指導。

I am so grateful for all the support and guidance EOK has provided to Summer. As she attended EOK, she was able to have long-term memory of the things she learnt at school, which was very helpful in preparation for her IB exams. The environment at EOK is also very welcoming, and the teachers really put time and effort to help students consolidate topics.

Even though at times she might work a long time after school at EOK, she does not complain that she is tired, but tells me that she thoroughly enjoys the learning process, and that it was important for her to secure knowledge on the topic before she left. EOK helped her develop this perseverance and love for learning, and I am grateful to EOK for providing the most supportive environment for Summer.

I first enrolled in EOK during summer 2012, and have since received full support from all my peers and mentors until graduating from the IB Diploma programme in May 2016. EOK has provided me with an opportunity to fully develop my academic knowledge through various pathways as opposed to traditional teaching methods. Along with teachers and peers, we carried out discussions and interactions to thoroughly explore different academic concepts in order to gain a better understanding. Other than interactive teaching methods by Dr. Ma and other tutors at the center, EOK also provides personalized teaching plans according to each students abilities and needs in their respective subjects.

Overall, EOK has provided me with full support in my academic studies, from transitioning into an entirely new syllabus after returning to Hong Kong from Malaysia, to completing my high school career in the IB Diploma programme. I truly thank all the teachers at EOK, who have made my studying process a much easier and enjoyable experience.

I have studied at EOK for at least 4 years, all the way through my IGCSE and IB years, and I can say that I have enjoyed every moment of my time there. Their programmes are highly effective in hammering exam­ specific knowledge into us students, and their teachers also explain things to us in a way that is fun and understandable. Because of this, I feel that EOK has managed to balance on the fine line that lies between being overly exam focused and ignoring the syllabus entirely, which is something I appreciate greatly.

I remember when I was preparing for exam interviews, and Don and Dr. Ma both took time to challenge my thinking with some interesting questions. This is exactly what I enjoy about studying at EOK – that we students are encouraged to think and understand what we are taught, not merely regurgitate facts off textbooks. For me at least, that makes for a better, more effective way of learning that ensures long term retention of the knowledge.

So thank you, teachers of EOK, for being my mentors and friends throughout these trying years, and guiding me to be a smarter, more confident person than I ever was before.

Having been attending EOK for the past 4 years, I have developed not only in academic performance, but also my learning abilities. Learning at EOK has allowed me to explore different learning methods. I find that learning at EOK is suitable as classes are tailored towards students’ strengths and weaknesses and help them gain in-depth knowledge on various subjects with a flexible and dynamic learning schedule. This has enabled my full learning potential in different learning environments. Much of this effort is due to Dr. Ma, who has been a very supportive mentor in my studies at EOK.

I find it safe to say that EOK has provided me with the best teaching materials which has allowed me to achieve great academic success and be accepted to all the universities I have applied to locally in Hong Kong. In hindsight, looking back at the vast improvements I have made over the last two years, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of EOK for supporting their students so wholeheartedly, and enabling a positive learning environment that encourages students to explore many different possibilities.

Way back when I decided to take EOK classes, my Math was terrible. Over time especially in recent months, I actually improved a lot and started putting some back into what I was learning because I could for once make sense of what we were doing at school and my grades got noticeably better. A large portion of it was, undoubtedly, due to the help I got from EOK. I might not have become a Math genius but I've certainly been pulled from a dark place and I appreciate that. For someone to both catch up and learn, I'd recommend EOK.

4 years has passed during my extra learning here in EOK. Extra Math seems rather dull, but over the course of 4 years EOK has definitely boosted my learning and I'm now far ahead of my classmates at school.
